The £93 million One Derby development could bring 2,500 jobs to the city if planners give it the go-ahead.

The ambitious scheme, which will bring a hotel, five office blocks, restaurants, cafes and a public plaza could become an important source of new jobs for Derby residents.

John Cadwallader, chief executive of Derby Cityscape, told the news provider: "It was one of the schemes we identified as being of prime importance.

"It brings somewhere in the region of 2,500 jobs, which is vitally important for those who are now in school and are looking for careers in the city."
