£48m revamp of college campus wins top award

THE £48m Roundhouse restoration in Derby has scooped the top prize in this year's Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors East Midlands Awards. (Sourced from this is Derbyshire.)
 
The Derby College campus in Pride Park won the project of the year award.

The scheme involved restoration, alteration and new build as part of Derby College's main city campus.

It also picked up the regeneration award and a highly commended certificate in the building conservation group.

College principal David Croll said: "We are absolutely delighted. The project team has been on an incredible journey to get this far and achieve this level of recognition."
