Rolls up for more success

Rolls-Royce, one of Derby’s top employers, secured an impressive $1.7 billion of new orders during the Farnborough Air Show earlier this month.
The company's market-leading Trent 700 engine alone won orders totalling over $1 billion.
The Trent 700, the only engine specifically designed for the A330, remains the market leader for the aircraft and has secured more than 70% of new orders in the past three years.
Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce chief executive, Sir John Rose, has been nominated as the person wielding most power over the regional economy of the Midlands according to the the 2010 Business Insider magazine Power 100 list.
