Ethical energy supplier could cut bills for Derby residents

Council house tenants in Derby could be set to get cheaper energy bills after Derby Homes announced a partnership with non-profit energy supplier Ebico.

Ebico will be the preferred supplier for gas and electricity to all Derby Homes tenants and offers a special tariff with one flat rate per unit of energy used, 24dash.com reports. read more

Rolls-Royce chief executive Sir John Rose has been nominated as the person wielding most power over the midlands regional economy according to the 2010 Business Insider magazine Power 100 list released this month.
The citation comments that Derby’s number one employer has helped the city build a reputation for excellence and has a massive impact on the regional economy.

Embassy event highlights 79-years of change

Plans to revamp Derby station have been dealt a major blow after the Government cut its funding.
